Black Moon - Enta Da Stage album

  • Fohuginn
Terrible sound. Repressing to avoid. Sound quality doesn't match album quality.
  • Risteacor
Yes..I was disappointed if not frustrated when I listened it. The gap between the quality of the songs and the quality of the media is abysmal...
  • Folsa
Terrible pressing, no bass, really thin and low... Disappointing for such a classic
  • Shan
Is this version really remastered? It has the same catalog number (FB5168) as the one in the "Complete Edition" box...
  • funike
Thanx for this comment, I add it back to my wantlist.
  • Llathidan
Yes, this is really remastered! And some tracks really differ A LOT!!! And I have to say in a positive way, the original was mixed with way too much low end and misses clear mids and highs. To me the remastered version sounds way better! I have compared these two intensively and some tracks of the original sounds like a demo version compared to the remastered... I'm going to sell my original copy and leave the RM...
  • Marirne
it´s the remnant or thats whats leftover of this Black Moon - Enta Da Stage: The Complete Edition it´s no big deal...
  • HeonIc
Are we talkin here about the true instrumentals (without any vocal hooks/choruses) or are they just a collection of the already existing instrumentals (TV-tracks)???
  • WUNDERKIND
HOw uncool is this then?; so why bother even getting this ...who got the props? ..well for sure not the fans u been waiting to get these beats for ages....
  • Quendant
vocal hooks and even adlibs on some tracks. the records with the pure instrumentals "not going nowhere"https://youtu.be/3sIAM6n1HsI?t=2m12s
  • Lcena
How is the quality... ? word word word word word
  • Bearus
This is not a limited edition! Limited quantities available. Some submitters are goin´ in the dark and have no idea what is the difference between limited edition and limited quantities. But that´s discogs what it is ;-)
  • Togar
it´s the remnant or thats whats leftover of this Black Moon - Enta Da Stage: The Complete Edition .it´s no big deal...
  • Cemav
So tell us whats the difference then....I don't get it...
  • Faehn
Does this have the Album Instrumental of Buck Em Down or it is the Remix Instrumental again?
  • Lynnak
What is the sound quality like? . . . .
  • Kulafyn
Where is the Buck Em Down (Instrumental)? The Remix (Instrumental) is already on the 12" so why have that instead of the OG Instrumental? Why is the beginning of the I Gotcha Opin (Instrumental) cut off slightly? Poor quality control. Why is there such a difference in volume on the instrumentals? Some are louder than others? Poor Quality control. If you already have Enta Da Stage & Diggin' In Da Vaults the Instrumentals are the only real selling point and you fucked that up. Glad I didn't buy a copy!
  • Nern
Thanks for posting that info. I was going to cop too but wanted to first know if 6 feet deep was in better quality than on diggin in dah vaults. But from what you observed of the all around poor quality control, I can't expect 6 feet deep to sound any better here. Thanks again.

I just got hold of a sealed copy that fits the criteria of the 1999 repress, but on heavy vinyl. It's quiet in places but no buzzing as mentioned in another post. I'm suprised it was never originally pressed on 2 xLp as it's over 50 mins long. An all time classic
  • Uscavel
Can someone please tell me if the sound quality of this press is supposed to be buzzy/static as hell.I bought an NM copy and the buzzing sound is off the rails.. I've cleaned it with static cleaner, still no change.
  • Jare
Yes. I got a sealed copy and same problem Just horrible static.
  • Xanna
Use wood glue...youtube...trust me it works..if u unsure use an old record u don't care for.
  • Reighbyra
Bought my copy in 93' & have it in front of me. Regarding re-presses, the differences are obvious from the label scans- there are no barcodes nor anything other than the Wreck 'flying bullets' character logo & black text on yellow on the OG labels, nor the thick black double headed arrow that runs round the outside of the labels on some nervous/Wreck re-issues. The hand etchings in the dead wax are as above. Hard to tell from the sleeve due to not knowing what the re-presses look like, although usually the art is scanned & lesser in quality. All official releases including the OG have been pressed in the same way from the same plates- all will need cranking up a notch & are very quiet pressings. Bear in mind if ordering a VG or VG+ copy that marks from needles will overpower the music easily. Same fate suffered by De La Soul's '3 Feet High & Rising' & early ATCQ/Jungle Brothers albums, and classics on the 'Loud' (ha ha really?) Label (Wu-Tang Clan/Beatnuts e.t.c.) If this had been a loud, deep groove pressing, it would be beyond the perfect album. As it is, its still a stone cold classic & for me, one of 93's true golden nuggets.
  • Barit
Anyone know how to determine a repress from the cover only?
  • Uthergo
does a version exist with "Act Like You Want it" on it? seems like it was only on CD
  • cyrexoff
If you tryign to get it on wax, "Act Like You Want It" was on the bside of "How Many Emcess..."
  • Iesha
Any ideas if this pressing is louder than the 1999 repress? Usually have to turn the gains real loud on the RP.
  • Whiteseeker
I haven't compared the two but this pressing is very low volume
  • Moralsa
On this repressing the sound is poor. But excellent album.
  • Opilar
I have repress with NRV 9101-02002-2 barcode, somebody knows what year is it?
