Com Truise - In Decay album

  • Alien
dear ghostly, please re-press a bunch of these:) would love to have a copy without it hurting so much... plus a copy that's not too expensive to actually play out and be enjoyed up loud, that would be excelllllent:)cheeeers:)
  • Cobandis
Very nice album. It,s a very interesting music for electronic music fan....like me :-)
  • jorik
Black Vinyl version (which is what this is) has been repressed and is currently available through the Ghostly International webstore for $20 https://www.theghostlystore.com/products/com-truise-in-decay-vinyl-edition
  • Thorgaginn
I'm pretty sure this has only been released physically in 2xLP format. Pics or it didn't happen.
  • Goodman
I am inclined to agree... How would an album of this length fit onto one record?
  • Na
It was re-pressed these days. Check it out: https://www.theghostlystore.com/products/com-truise-in-decay-vinyl-edition !

Was it just the black vinyl version that was repressed? Not the orange?
  • Taur
Thanks so much for the tip! I've been wanting to buy this for aaaaaaaages.
  • Ironrunner
Must have been repressed in preparation for his new LP "Iteration!"
  • Helo
Superb album. One of a kind. But a word of warning - I bought 10x copies of the orange vinyl from Ghostly back in 2014 and 2015 and all of them were badly warped. I managed to keep the best (least warped) for myself and I sold the others for £8-£12 each. I'd be very wary spending £100+ on a sealed copy of the orange variant. In fact, I wouldn't do it. Speaking as a collector and real enthusiast for this album...I'm just giving you a heads up. I truly hope Ghostly represses this album. I'm sure they will because they repressed Galactic Melt after a few years. So maybe this year, or 2018 we will see another version.
  • Arilak
funny that they just repressed it today i hope its better
  • Bloodfire
Can anyone please tell me if this version included a sticker on the shrink wrap that identified it as colored vinyl? I'd appreciate it, thanks!
  • Goldendragon
Thank you! I appreciate it! And that's awesome!
  • Steel_Blade
Yeah it has a black sticker that says it's the colored and includes an MP3. Standard Ghostly releases on black vinyl just tell you it comes with an MP3. I found this one brand new at a record store in New Orleans the other day.
  • Alister
Chalybs Yes! It has a black sticker with MP3 included while the orig. black version only mentions the MP3.http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/zpYAAOSw7aBVB4oI/$_57.JPGhttp://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTAwWDUwMA==/z/YfwAAOSwYGFUyzCa/$_12.JPG Thank you very, very much!

  • Bumand
it's beautiful. shipped to me within a few days. thankfully i live hella close to st. Augustine.

I know it's partly because Com Truise's music is sonically very powerful, but this record sounds absolutely awesome on my system. Crisp highs and sharp, kicking lows that have a beautifully aggressive edge. Fantastic album.
  • Kifer
Got mine today!
  • Ynap
releasing on vinyl on July 15th! FINALLY!
  • Preve
ghostly.com still available as of now.
  • Magis
Really? Wow. Where do I buy it from??

@jhubner73: This is what is officially said on Ghostly's web site about the In Decay album "A compilation of unreleased, early recordings, In Decay encompasses 13 tracks that have previously been either only available as demos online or are entirely unheard tracks dating from before Haley's official releases". Now you know why it's listed as a compilation. :)
  • Loni
And why is it listed as a 'compilation'?
  • Maman
Yeah, this needs to be put out on 180 gram vinyl. One of my favorite albums of 2012. A week doesn't go by that I don't listen to it.
  • Kelerana
100% agree with you. I listen to it all the time. I think its pure genius. The synth programming and composition is just amazing. I'd love to see this on vinyl. Hate downloading music...
  • Gralinda
I second the 'put this on wax' sentiment. It's an amazing record.

Not many truly creative artists emerged after the great golden 90's ended. Com Truise makes us wonder...is true creativity hidden within the past clichés? And is the way to turn them into fresh ideas again the hidden key? Well, judging by this, and his other releases, it may very well be so. "In Decay" sounds like the future sounded like 30 years ago. And, my god, the future sounded gorgeous. In these compositions, the future sounds like a BoardsofCanadaesque trip on a disco club full of glossy lipstick, slow funky basslines and Linndrum snares. Yes, because althought its Disco,DJ captain Spock is ahead of its time, and its spinning future 80's Roland Juno 106 synth lines and moder DSI Mopho leads. And that's it. Future music partying like its 1979/1980 that keeps a distance from reality, approaching a somewhat sci-fi vision of isolated landscapes in the forest.
  • Yahm
For people like me, every track of this album has the best bits from rare gems of the 80's that have been discovered via internet today.
  • Nakora
Every time this album starts up I just think of the Vestron Video logo.
